Sleep & Beyond myWoolly Pillow Review: An Adjustable Wool Pillow That Stays Cool All Night
Most pillows are either too flat or too puffy, and they always seem to get hot by 2am. The Sleep & Beyond myWoolly Pillow tries to fix both problems with a simple approach: fill a cotton sateen shell with natural wool and let you adjust how much is inside. Thats it. No memory foam, no gel inserts, no cooling tech gimmicks. Just wool.
And honestly? It works better than most of the fancy stuff I’ve tested.
Adjustable Fill
Unzip the cover and add or remove wool to change the loft. Takes about 30 seconds to get it where you want it.
Natural Temperature Control
Wool wicks moisture and regulates heat without any special cooling fabric or gel. It just stays comfortable.

Sleeping On It
I’m a side sleeper and I usually need a pretty thick pillow to keep my neck aligned. Out of the box the myWoolly came overstuffed for my taste, but I pulled out maybe a handful of wool and it was perfect. The fill doesnt shift around the way down alternative does. It kind of stays put once you shape it, which I wasn’t expecting from wool.
Temperature wise, this thing surprised me. I run hot and usually wake up flipping my pillow to the cool side at least once a night. With the myWoolly I didnt do that once in the first week. Wool naturally moves moisture away from your head, so it just doesnt build up that sticky warmth the way foam and synthetic fills do.
The Downsides
Its not cheap. Depending on the size youre looking at $89 to $119, which is a lot for a pillow. The wool also has a faint lanolin smell when you first open it. Not bad, just noticeable. It faded after a couple days.
The pillow is also heavier than you might expect. Its not a big deal but if youre used to a lightweight down pillow this feels different in your hands.
How It Compares
I’ve already reviewed the myWoolly Latex Topper and the myTravel Pillow from Sleep & Beyond, and the quality is consistent across the line. The myWoolly Pillow sits in between, more supportive than the travel pillow but softer and more adjustable than anything with latex. Bottom Line
The myWoolly Pillow does two things really well: temperature regulation and adjustable loft. If you sleep hot or you’re tired of pillows that are always the wrong height, this is worth the investment. Its not flashy and theres no fancy marketing angle. It’s just a well made wool pillow that does its job.
