Key Features

☁️

One Solid Foam Block

Unlike adjustable shredded-fill pillows, this is a single piece of proprietary TEMPUR material. The shape never shifts, never goes lumpy.

🛌

Soft But Supportive

Tempur-Pedic calls it their “extra-soft” feel. Your head sinks in but the foam underneath still cradles your neck, useful for back and side sleepers.

🧺

Washable Cover

Hypoallergenic polyester knit cover unzips and goes in the washing machine. Useful for anyone who washes pillowcases weekly and wants the layer underneath to stay clean too.

🌡️

Holds Its Shape Cold or Warm

The foam responds to body heat but doesn’t collapse, wakes up the next morning looking the same as the night before.

Our Experience

We tested the TEMPUR-Cloud as a primary pillow for two weeks across back and side sleeping. On the back the head sank just enough to keep the neck aligned with the spine, the kind of light support that actually relaxes the jaw. On the side it was firm enough for an average build, though broad-shouldered side sleepers may still prefer a thicker pillow.

The big draw of this pillow is consistency. After 14 nights we did not need to fluff, punch, or reshape it once. It looks the same on day 14 as day 1. That is the whole pitch of Tempur material and it holds up here.

The trade-off: this is solid memory foam without ventilation or cooling gel, so it does run on the warm side. If you sleep hot, look at the Breeze line or stack a cooling cover on top.

Pros & Cons

What We Liked

  • Consistent shape, no fluffing required
  • Good neck alignment for back and average-build side sleepers
  • Removable, machine-washable cover
  • Five-year limited warranty from Tempur-Pedic

Worth Knowing

  • Runs warm, no built-in cooling
  • May feel too thin for broad-shouldered side sleepers
  • Premium price compared with shredded-foam alternatives

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it sleep hot?

It runs a touch warm, typical of solid memory foam with no ventilation. Not a dealbreaker for most sleepers, but hot sleepers should look at the Tempur-Cloud Breeze instead.

Is the foam shape adjustable?

No. This is one solid block of TEMPUR material. The shape is fixed, which is part of the appeal, it does not shift overnight. If you want adjustable loft, look at shredded-foam pillows instead.

How long until it stops off-gassing?

We noticed a faint new-foam smell out of the package that was gone within 48 hours. Unbox it a couple of days before you plan to sleep on it.

Final Verdict

The TEMPUR-Cloud is a quietly excellent pillow for the right sleeper. If you want a shape that never changes and you sleep on your back or side without running hot, it earns its price. If you sleep hot or have very broad shoulders, look up the Breeze version or a contoured neck pillow instead.
