The ZEEQ launched off a big Kickstarter around 2016 and for a couple years it was the smart pillow. REM-Fit packed speakers, a snore sensor, motion tracking and a vibration alarm into a memory foam shell, and reviewers mostly liked it. Ours held up fine physically, the foam was decent if a little firm, and the speakers were genuinely useful for falling asleep to podcasts.

Then the quiet death. The pillow disappeared from retail, and the companion app stopped getting updates. Thats the part that matters if youre eyeing one on eBay right now: the app is gone from both app stores, and without it you lose the tracking, the smart alarm, the snore sensitivity settings, basically everything except Bluetooth audio passthrough. A $200 smart pillow with a dead app is a $30 pillow with speakers in it.

We tested exactly that scenario with a secondhand unit. Pairing still works as a plain Bluetooth speaker, the vibration motor does nothing without the app, and battery life on a unit thats been through years of charge cycles was about half the original spec. Not a purchase we can recommend, even cheap.

Each ZEEQ feature has a better standalone replacement now.
