Key Features
Cooling Cover
The removable knit cover pulls heat away from your body. Its not ice cold but noticeably cooler than sleeping on standard memory foam.
3 Inches of TEMPUR Foam
Same pressure relieving material as their full mattresses. Conforms to your body shape and distributes weight evenly.
Washable Cover
Zip off cover goes right in the washing machine. Helpful since toppers tend to absorb sweat and oils over time.
Medium Feel
Not too soft, not too firm. Sinks enough to cushion pressure points but still gives you some support underneath.
Our Experience
We put the TEMPUR-Adapt topper on a 5 year old medium firm mattress that was starting to feel flat. The difference was immediate. That signature Tempur-Pedic feeling where you sink in slowly and the foam holds your shape is here in full force. Side sleepers on our team noticed the biggest improvement since it really cushions shoulders and hips.
The cooling claim is legit but lets be real about it. This isnt some miracle cold sleep surface. What it does is prevent that suffocating hot memory foam feeling where you wake up sweating at 3am. The knit cover stays neutral to slightly cool through the night which is a big step up from regular toppers that trap heat like a blanket.
At 3 inches thick its substantial enough to genuinely change how your mattress feels. We tried it on a firm mattress and it softened it nicely without making it feel like a marshmallow. The washable cover is a nice touch too since we always worry about keeping toppers clean. Fair warning though, this thing is heavy. Getting it positioned on the bed takes some effort especially in queen or king sizes.

Final Verdict
If you want to upgrade your current mattress without buying a whole new one, the TEMPUR-Adapt topper is one of the best ways to do it. You get real Tempur-Pedic foam that actually relieves pressure points, a cooling cover that works, and a washable design. Its expensive for a topper but it costs a fraction of a new Tempur-Pedic mattress and gives you a lot of the same feel. We think its worth it if your mattress is still structurally fine but just isnt comfortable anymore.
